The Czech Republic has a wealth of indoor and outdoor venues suitable for all manners of performing ensemble. In Prague, the magical capital, you are as spoilt for choice for venues as for sightseeing experiences. Walk over the majestic Charles Bridge and marvel at the city’s expansive and fascinating castle before performing at the Czech Museum of Music, Smetana Hall or Church of St Nicolas. A short hop to the spa towns of Karlovy Vary or Marianske Spa with magnificent venues and Kutna Hora and Cesky Krumlov are also well worth a visit, boasting Cathedrals and concert halls as well as open-air squares for concerts.

As well as offering a perfect pairing to a tour in eastern Germany or indeed Austria, the Czech Republic can be beautifully complemented by an extension in Hungary. Budapest is home to every type of venue imaginable, from churches, cathderals and concert halls to outdoor Festival stages and courtyards. Or - for nature lovers - why not spend a couple of days on Central Europe's largest lake of Balaton, boasting also a plethora of spectacular venues and Festivals suitable for all kinds of ensemble.

Whilst you are here, In the heart of Central Europe, another popular destination is Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava. Combining baroque grandeur with stark-angled Communist-era blocks and more compact than its larger neighbouring city of Vienna, Bratislava is bursting with culture, with regular outdoor concerts taking place in its beautiful central square, parks and castle courtyard during the summer months. You can also perform in the outstanding concert hall of the iconic, art deco Slovak Radio Building, rated one of the world’s ugliest buildings (but a matter of personal taste!).
